Shilah the Swampwitch (Shilah Thibodeaux) has went through several variations since she was first created. She’s been able to control fire, control water, conjure spirits, and even time travel. In her most recent (and hopefully final) version in my current book series, she is a deeply spiritual character fully embodying the swamp in her magic and power. She symbolizes generational trauma and systemic racism.
